As social commerce surged post-COVID, we saw a gap—legacy payment gateways couldn’t keep up with the fast-evolving needs of social media merchants. While we enabled seamless payments, we soon realized that over 70% of these sellers struggled with upfront inventory costs, limiting their ability to scale.

This insight led us to pivot and build Slide, an all-in-one platform that combines payments and inventory access, allowing merchants to sell directly from supplier stock without upfront capital. By eliminating financial and logistical barriers, we empower sellers across WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook, driving growth in Africa’s $20 billion+ social commerce market.
